Opening & Life Science Day

Turning future medical concepts into implementation.

Medical institutions, startups, academia, companies, and investors from around the world will gather in Osaka to create a global innovation community aimed at solving unmet medical needs. This is a day where cutting-edge knowledge, technologies, and businesses aimed at realizing the future of medicine intersect to foster new co-creation toward industrial deployment.
Kansai is a leading life science cluster in Japan, possessing world-class life science research infrastructure, including regenerative medicine, as well as industrial infrastructure such as that for large-scale cell culture and manufacturing (CDMOs). On Day 1, in addition to the overall opening of the GSE, we will accelerate the creation of next-generation medical innovations.

Expo Days

Two days to transform deeptech innovation into industry.

On Days 2 and 3, the world's deeptech ecosystems will assemble in Osaka focusing on six key areas: bio-healthcare, quantum technology, fusion energy, space, AI and advanced robotics, and semiconductors and communications as the main program of the Global Startup EXPO.
In collaboration with the Japanese government's growth strategy that aims for approximately 370 trillion-yen public-private investments by 2040, this event brings together startups, companies, universities and research institutions, investors, and government officials from both Japan and abroad.
To address global social issues, we will realize a global platform that connects deep tech to “business” and “industry,” rather than just treating it merely as “technology.”

Startups will present their businesses established based on cutting-edge research findings, their challenges in social implementation and commercialization, and their visions for tackling social issues to investors, operating companies, local governments, and other stakeholders both domestically and internationally. Check out the cutting edge of DeepTech startups with the potential to change the world.
